They were amazing! The standard of musicianship was excellent and as there were several musicians at our party it mattered to me that the standard was high. I added the sax player to the line up and that really lifted the sound.

 

Dave was so professional in his approach and nothing was too much trouble; he organised the sets to include songs of John’s era and the highlight was letting him “jam” with the band much to everyone’s delight.

 

We danced the night away to their high energy music with lovely lighting and sound system that suited our venue. I was aware that they must play much larger events but were able to adapt to our smaller group. Dave worked on some moves with the children with they loved and his humour, singing and fronting of the band held the whole evening together. He was able to pace our energy so we were reluctant to stop! I’m glad we did though as some of our older partygoers had trouble walking the next day!

their name from a long list, hoping they would be good for a party

celebrating 16, 18 and 50 birthdays, so a really mixed age group.

Arrangements with Mitch were very easy. We left the play list to him.

On the day Mitch and the lads turned up on time.  Our venue was only

accessible by 4 x4 but they were not fazed by this, unloaded all the

“Unable to find the band we wanted locally we searched online for a swing, jive and jazz band. Three of us were searching and all three of us, independent of each other, returned with the impressive write-up for Blue Note Mitch and the Red Hot Jacks. We needed a band that would play to a diverse audience, a community event to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, everyone was invited.

This band promised a wide range of materials Jazz, Swing, Jive also Rock'n'roll, Soul and Ska. We wanted everything which was a tall ask.

Blue Note Mitch and the Red Hot Jacks did not disappoint. They played their hearts out and the crowd responded. The rhythm section was tight, the percussionist was superb, the pianist was mesmerising and Mitch himself is a fantastic performer. They promised much and at no time did they ever seem out of their depth.

They were able to gauge the crowd and deliver what the audience wanted. We started slow with the dulcet tones of the golden jazz classics, tossed in a bit of swing and jive and in no time at all the hall was jumping. Mitch owned the stage, a born performer, his beautiful voice sounded like it was made for jazz. Then come the second half we were busting our moves to the Beatles, Elvis, Duffy, Amy Winehouse, Queen and again Mitch was in his element, his audience enchanted. Finally, with such a talented saxophonist who could resist a touch of Madness? 

This band held the crowd in the palm of it's hand, everyone was on the floor and we loved it.

 

Do not delay, this is an excellent band book them now you will not regret it."

enjoy our wedding/party. The band learnt and performed several of our favourite songs brilliantly, making our day personal to us and giving

us memories we will cherish forever. Mitch had everyone rocking on the dance floor, even Ian’s 83 year old Nan. He managed to get our guests learning some ‘monkey’ dance moves, which was hilarious. Since our wedding we have had guests contacting us for the band’s details, as they too were equally as impressed. A huge thank you to the band for making our wedding truly memorable for all. We’re just sorry we can’t do it all again!"
